“We had a fantastic experience on the whisky tour with our guide, Alasdair. With only a small, intimate group, the setting was perfect for asking questions and really soaking in the atmosphere. We sampled four different whiskies and scotches, each with its own unique story and flavor profile. Alasdair was incredibly knowledgeable—not just about whisky, but also about Scotland’s history, culture, and traditions. He brought the experience to life with engaging stories, fun facts, and a genuine passion for sharing what makes Scotch whisky so special. We left with a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each bottle and for Scotland itself. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting—...”

Review of a small-group day tour from Edinburgh to Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, and Glengoyne Distillery.
“I had a day tour from Edinburgh which was of a very small group of 6 persons. Our guide was Keith who drove us through the countryside on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We first had a visit to the Stirling Castle and then an early lunch at the town of Balmaha. After lunch, Keith led us for a quick walk along Loch Lomand. The highlight of the day was the tour at Glengoyne Distillery in the afternoon in which we got to know how the whisky was produced and tasted 2 glasses of Glengoyne whisky. Keith was professional, attentive and very knowledgeable about the history of Scotland. Enjoyed this day…”

“Excursion very complete, enjoying both walks in the forest and the culture and gastronomy of the Highlands. A comfortable and enjoyable way to enjoy the charm of this area. In our case Javi guided us and made the experience a lot of fun... I would have liked the history teachers to have explained the battles to me.... To recommend and repeat.Auto-translated”

“Our guide Andy was awesome- extremely knowledgeable and funny and i learned a lot and we had a great group of people on the tour. However, although i enjoyed the distillery tour at glengoyne, having only two minuscule tastings was quite disappointing and at deanston it was the same 2 minuscule pours in a room that was very cold and uncomfortable. i would have expected a tasting of 4 at each-from past experience.”

Two thumbs way up for Adam’s driving, music playlist, and dad jokes keeping us entertained and educated through the day.”
Review of the Edinburgh tour to Clydeside Distillery, Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle, with costs, timing, tips and honest drawbacks.
“The only reason i give it a 4 star is that it was not well explained that if we walked a quarter of a mile or so we could really see Loch Lomond. We spent too much time at lunch and was not able to enjoy the view. The distillery was excellent and we had time so we went in and visited the Riverside museum (this should be a listed stop - great museum).”
Review of a 12-hour Edinburgh tour to Loch Ness, Glencoe, Deanston Distillery, Pitlochry, and the Scottish Highlands.
“Great trip and totally worth it starting with the distillery visit, to Glencoe, Loch Ness every thing was great and so was our tour guide Ewal. He was superb and made everything very enjoyable. The ride was comfortable and amazing sights and views. Do take this trip if you are in Edinburgh and if you have Ewal it would be better. Do take the cruise at Loch Ness”
